Tips and Strategies for Castle Age on Facebook

A beginner's Castle Age Guide, with tips, a faq, and links to the best wikis and strategy guides.

Castle Age is a fun, complex fantasy rpg-type facebook game with quests, interesting characters, epic monsters, castles to defend, and cool loot. Players can duel, pitting their general against the general of another player, invade the other player, pitting army against army, or ignore the PvP element and enjoy questing.

Here are a few tips and resources to help you get started:

Castle Age Starting Heroes

Stats and Powers

When you first log on to Castle Age, you're presented with a choice of four characters to assist. You do not need to stress at all over this choice because the others will soon join you or can be hired for a low fee. The one you choose will be your first general and joins you for free. Here are their starting stats and the powers they give when set as your general:

Strider
3 attack 0 Defense
Gives bonus gold.
Cost to hire: 5,000
Raised amongst assassins, Strider was once cold and ruthless. Because of a recent incident, he has forsaken his dark past and taken up arms for Valeria.

Dragan
2 attack 1 Defense
Increases max energy.
Cost to hire: 5,000
A mighty and highly skilled warrior, anyone Dragan commands has the potential to match strength with the fiercest of warriors.

Penelope
0 attack 3 Defense
Decreases cost of hiring soldiers.
Cost to hire: 5,000
A high priest of Silver Light, Penelope excels at imbuing her army with defensive enhancements and abilities.

Sophia
1 attack 2 Defense
Increases max energy.
Cost to hire: 5,000
Sophia is the last of the Faeries, an ancient Elven bloodline. In her holds the key to hidden power.

All General stats and flavor text in this section are taken directly from the Castle Age game on Facebook for accuracy. Screenshot was taken by me in-game to illustrate the initial Heros gamers are offered, used under my understanding of "Fair Use".
